elf Studio Baked Eye Shadows.

Hello guys,

Today I bring you eye shadows! These three are my favorite out of the Studio Baked Eye Shadows by elf. They each cost around $3-$3.79 at Target. I would suggest looking for them at Marshalls though, as I have seen them even cheaper there.

I highly recommend these eye shadows because they are really good quality for being inexpensive. I find them soft and very pigmented. Wet or dry they give a beautiful shimmer. However, I personally like them better wet because of the metallic sheen.

Wear is also pretty good with a primer. I like to wear these with my MAC Paint Pot in Constructivist to combat my oily lids. I must say though, that there is still a bit of fallout. I think this might be the case for myself because off my hooded eyes and VERY oily lids.

Bark is a chocolate-colored brown

Burnt Plum is a plummy/burgundy color

Toasted is a light bronze color

As you can see by the swatches above, the colors are wonderful! The packaging on the other hand is lacking. Be careful when handling these because they crack and break off easily. Mine did.

Overall, I deem these as must haves! They are such a good value. With a little care and a good primer these will take you places!

XO,

SHADOWING STUDENT APPROPRIATE LIPSTICKS.

Hey guys,
This summer I am shadowing a doctor. Before I continue, I must say that the doctor I was allowed to choose turned out to be beyond incredible. I am truly looking forward to working with said doctor for the rest of the summer.
That aside, I would like to take the time to show you three of the lipsticks I have deemed to be appropriate to wear during my shifts. All three are professional. As can be expected, makeup that is too bright, too dark, or too heavy is frowned upon at hospitals. The lipsticks I picked are also hassle free. When I am running around I don’t get distracted by the fear of them having smudged all over my lips or that I have to touch up often. This is key because they help me look at my best longer.
Lipsticks starting from the left:
MAC Unlimited
Wet ‘n Wild Bare It All/ 902C

If any of you have any suggestions as what I should wear for such a setting or what you wear in this case leave a comment below!
Thanks for reading,

RED LIP #1: DRAGON GIRL BY NARS

Hey peeps,

I don't know about you, but I love a good red lip! Who doesn’t really? A red lip can kick things up a notch tremendously. When done correctly of course… I am sure we can all attest to that.
Dragon Girl is one of my favorite red lipsticks. It is a velvet matte lip pencil from Nars. Ever since I bought it a few months ago, I can’t seem to put it down. Now that I think about it, I am blown away at the fact I haven’t had to repurchase it. However, it is only a matter of time.

Below I have included a swatch of Dragon Girl and Cruella for comparison.

This baby is not drying on the lips and has minimal feathering – two big pluses in my book. My only qualm about it, as with the rest of the jumbo lip pencils by Nars, is that a sharpener is needed. Product does get wasted when sharping and it can be difficult to find a sharpener that is the right size.

Aside from these two cons, Dragon Girl makes up for it in longevity. I get about 5 hours of wear without eating and 2 after eating. When snaking, I think it’s safe to say I get around 3 to 4 hours of wear. The lipstick really adheres to my lips and does not wear off easily.  Even after wear, it manages to leave a nice lip stain – something along the lines of the Fresh Sugar lip treatment in Cherry.

I am quite pleased with my Dragon Girl lipstick purchase from Nars. I am a huge fan of Nars lipsticks. Maybe I should do some others posts regarding said lipsticks?
Until next time,

Cristal
